Troops of Headquarters 63 Brigade/Sector 1 Joint Task Force, South South Operation DELTA SAFE, have recovered seven rifles and two motorcycles during a raid operation in Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The operation, carried out on June 4, 2026, was based on credible intelligence. During the raid, the troops discovered the weapons and motorcycles concealed within an abandoned police station in the Ibusa community.

Commending the troops for their resilience, professionalism and commitment to duty, Commander 63 Brigade, Moronfolu Abdulmoshood Shonibare, urged them to sustain the current operational momentum and continue to apply pressure on criminal elements operating within the area. 

He reaffirmed the military's determination to deny criminals freedom of action across the state and warned that individuals or groups involved in illegal possession of arms or other criminal activities would face the full weight of the law.
